QA Integration as Part of Agile Adoption

Session Abstract:
SCRUM has been the buzzword in the project management space for a few years now; however organizations are still struggling to mature their IT delivery model with the changes accompanied by the enterprise wide SCRUM adoption. Objective of this paper is to explain in a concise manner about the change aspect of SCRUM implementation, the QA integration in particular. The paper also explains the common challenges that almost every organizations face during or after the SCRUM implementation and some of the best practices that could help alleviate the problems associated with the change. Some of the best working models and the frameworks are also explained in the paper. The practical challenges, such as team’s career development etc., that come along with SCRUM adoption, for a sustainable, highly spirited, highly motivated team are also discussed in detail. Attrition management has been given special attention as this is being considered as one of the biggest challenges, especially in a distributed SCRUM environment. The proposed frameworks explained in the paper address most of the challenges and team concerns. The paper also talks about the best practices that have been captured from multiple distributed SCRUM projects.
