How to Successfully Plan and Implement an Open Source and CLOUD-based Testing Framework

Session Abstract:
We will discuss how to successfully combine Open Source technologies such as JMeter and CLOUD-based solutions such as Amazon EC2 to conduct performance and benchmark testing. Using a real-world example, we will show how this combination can provide enormous capacity on demand and eliminate the need to acquire and manage expensive hardware or commercial software licenses. We’ll describe how to test performance of a high-traffic web site in a cost effective manner. Our presentation will cover pros and cons of using a cloud-based testing infrastructure, test tools, and practical solutions to challenges faced during testing.
