Tuesday Keynote Session
How PMI is Developing Certifications and Methods to Manage Agile
Mr. Karl Best - Project Management Institute
Session Abstract: While generally considered the home of traditional, waterfall-based approaches to project management, PMI has also long been a proponent of iterative, phase-based approaches. PMI’s recent announcement of a certification for Agile practitioners, the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)SM, and the launch of an activity to develop a Software Extension to the PMBOK® Guide, demonstrate PMI’s support for Agile and other iterative methodologies. This keynote presentation will discuss these and other Agile-related activities at PMI that help support project management practitioners in a variety of project environments.
